Master Jing Hui’s memorial ceremony took place at the People’s Hall from Shijiazhuang (石家庄), at the capital of Hebei Province in the north of China. People from different places attended the ceremony, along with famous Chinese Buddhist Monks. They all meet with one common purpose: remember and honor this great personage of the Buddhism’s history. During his life Master Jing Hui, touched the lives of many people, sharing his teachings, wisdom, principles and spreading Buddhism among his followers. In 1988, he was the main influence behind the reparation of the Bailin Temple. Later on, he developed the “Zen for Daily Life”, afterward along with his fellow monks organized the first summer camp, looking to share their thoughts. Furthermore, his teachings were not limited to China; they reached countries like Germany, where for instance, Bernd Groschupp shared his experience as Master Jing Hui’s apprentice, who later became his disciple.
