"The Z-PARK model in China" released in Beijing

0:01 On November 6, "The Z-PARK model in China" was published in Beijing. The book was written by Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor at the Guanghua School of Management of Peking University Dong Xiaoying, Guo Weiqiong, secretary general of the Zhongguancun Listed Companies Association. The book comprises an in-depth analysis of the innovative ecology within the well-known science park.

 

0:32 Founded in the 1980s, Zhongguancun Science Park was the first national independent innovation demonstration zone in China. It encompasses 39 high-tech academies such as Tsinghua University and Peking University, 213 scientific research institutes including the Chinese Academy of Sciences, 41 China National Engineering Centers, 42 key laboratories and 10 national-level enterprise technology centers. As of 2016, the market value of Zhongguancun's 238 listed companies has reached 4.8 trillion yuan.

 

1:12 At the press conference, professor Dong Xiaoying gave a keynote speech, based on more than a year spent interviewing Zhongguancun Science Park Company staff and administrative committee members, as well as five consecutive years of data from listed companies. She said Zhongguancun's innovative model would provide a greater reference and impetus to China's future innovation and entrepreneurship.
