The large number of murals preserved in the Potala Palace reproduces the history of the Tibetan people's social life in various fields. They are important cultural heritage of the Chinese nation and human history. In order to preserve the murals of Potala Palace forever, with the support of the Palace, the collection team of Yachang Culture Group Chinese Art Data Center has worked relentlessly for four years and completed the data collection job for the murals systematically and thoroughly. This is the first time this job has done for Potala Palace.

Mural collection work has applied artificial reproduction technology in original size. Yachang people has overcome many difficulties, including high altitude hypoxia, the influence of passenger flow, the limitations of the structure etc. They used advanced digital technology to record the information of the relics from the macro, micro, and three-dimensional angles. In addition, Yachang Culture also developed merchandising products related to Tibetan culture and Buddhism culture with the digital technology. In a word, Yachang Culture has integrated artistic resources in an attempt to implement the "Big data + Internet + Religious Culture + Tourism" innovative model and write a new chapter to help support Tibetan culture.
