OTEC Helps Entrepreneurs Start Business In China

My name is Bowen Gui, I study computer science in Carnegie Mellon between 2010 to 2011, after graduated, I worked in New York Black-Rock for a couple of years, by coincidence, I was hunted by a Chinese e-commerce company, that is why I move back to China.

Because I work in e-commerce, I saw there are so many over-packing problems happened in China, that is how I start my company, BGG recycling. Because this factory was opened for a couple days, this time I come here to see whether everything had been settled.

So BGG recycling is a recycle company in cooperating with internet technology, for the front we provide a platform to connect enterprise level business with collectors, for the back end we have our factories. 

So when the customers come here, they gonna come to the weighbridge and then get their wright. After they finish weighting process, they gonna drive their car to the testing center, and the tester gonna give them a price according to the quality of their product. Our workers will filter, classify and checking the products, after they finish classifying, they would put everything into that machine, and then packing all of the stuff, and then here we go, this is our product, we would send them to the paper factories.

In order to increase all the efficiency and to trike all the data, we developed multiple APPs and technology services. That is what we do. 

I start doing my own start-ups since 2016, after half a year, I started to know there is an organization called OTEC. 

I think OTEC is one of the best platform and organization for oversea talents to seek for help. They also hold like annually conference and competition, you can get a chance to win 100k RNB sponsor from the government. 

After join OTEC, I got a lot of resource, such as policies, services, and also talents, and capital help, so I think it is very helpful for me.

So here is the story, the day before that day, I almost forgot there is a competition, and then I suddenly realize tomorrow I have a competition, I have to prepare for my presentation, I was not nervous at all because I am very familiar with my business model, and I know my business, cause I start from the scratch, and I love my business. My project run the first in Beijing area.

Through OTEC, I actually know some investors I did not know before, and they gave me a lot suggestions, some just want to invest me and some give me some contacts which is very useful, and also other than that, I actually met some very interesting and talented people there, they are all similar like me that they study overseas or work overseas before, and then move back to China to do their own start-ups, we all have same problems, and we can communicate to help each other.

OTEC is a platform we have been building for 6 years, and today the international start-up meet-up is the 4th time we hold the event.
